Shona Young, freelance consultant: I had the pleasure of working with Deni for a number of years in the social reporting space.  Deni was commissioned to write case studies for various corporate social reports. She was also commissioned to conduct site visits for these reports where she visited social development projects to visually document the work being done. This often entailed travelling to remote and rural parts of South Africa where she would interview and photograph beneficiaries. She would then write up case studies capturing the real essence of the projects, always ensuring that as well as the facts, a strong human element thread was evident. Her work was always of a very high standard, to such a degree that clients would comment on her sensitivity to, and understanding of, the nature of the projects she wrote about. I also received very positive feedback on her photography of both landscape and portrait photographs. I really enjoyed working with Deni. She produced work that was of a very high quality (both her photographs as well as her report writing) and was a pleasure to work with.

Michelle Matthews, Innovation Programme Manager at CiTi: Deni is passionate about social change and environmental sustainability. She applies a range of skills to communicating this passion, from analysing data, to taking beautiful photos and writing thoughtful copy. We worked together on a website redesign, which Deni project managed with drive and diplomacy. She has a strong grasp of both the technical and aesthetic aspects of online projects. She is diligent, but flexible and always works to a very high standard. She is also simply lovely to work with!

Nick Rockey, MD, Trialogue: Deni has worked with me as a consultant to Trialogue for the past five and a half years. During this time she has performed a variety of functions that involved her directly managing the relationship with a number of our key clients, and managing other team members to meet their deadlines while integrating their contributions to the projects. Deni has been a pleasure to work with. She is self-motivated and capable of working independently. Her work is of a high standard and she is professional in her dealings both internally and with clients. Deni has been highly regarded and popular with all our staff, and I would not hesitate to re-employ her should the opportunity arise.

Jeremy Yung, Research and learning coordinator, Local Trust: I worked with Deni on a number of independent evaluations of corporate social investment initiatives in South Africa. Deni was a huge asset to the team. She had great attention to detail, a willingness to take on extra work and produced quality work. She was calm under pressure, always met her deadlines and provided positive and constructive feedback to team members. On top of it all, she took beautiful and professional photographs that added depth and perspective to our evaluations. Her pictures alone told a story. On a personal note, she is an extremely personable, friendly and compassionate person who continually looks to improve our communities, our environment and our planet. Her energy and enthusiasm is addictive and she would be a welcome addition to any organisation.
